With the advancement of technology, we now have digital signage; which has a lot of benefits for businesses. This is particularly a key tool for transit companies; it allows their customers to easily find bus stops, train arrivals, and more.
Public Transit
Think of at least 10 years ago, or more, when taking a public bus, there was a bus route pamphlet that we needed to get for that particular route, in order to see the schedule. Or online; having to search for the public transit website and find a static page with schedules.
Currently, signage allows riders to quickly find schedules from a display screen outdoors. It can provide static schedules, or real-time data of arrivals, departures and even delays.
Other Companies
Public transit companies are not the only ones benefitting from this technology. Other companies, organizations such as malls, shopping centers, libraries and even apartment complexes are installing digital signage for their clients to have access to real-time data regarding public transit and other announcements.
Having signage in your business will attract more customers, it's a way of re-using social media content, and even used for advertisements. It can also be an educational tool; to educate users on your products and services. It can also help reduce customer questions since the information can be readily available on the display screen.
With video, there is so many different ways to showcase your products and services; while educating your customers.
Another benefit of digital signage is that the information updates easily; and doesn't require a tech person onsite to make any updates or fixes. This can be done offsite, and updates are deployed quickly.
In conclusion, digital signage can be a great investment in your business. It will attract more customers, get more eyes on your products and services, provide education/information to your potential clients, and the information can be updated easily.
